The Great Disappearing Act
It's strange, because the cake is one of the oldest parts of a wedding. It predates the DJ, the seating chart, the hashtag, the photo booth with the props nobody uses. Ancient Romans broke bread over the bride's head for good luck. Victorian couples saved a slice of fruitcake for a year, which sounds less like a tradition and more like a dare.
